House Update

We are on our way to close (on time) on January 24th. Things are falling into place, by the grace of God. As of now we have to pay a penalty to get out of our lease but I think it will be worth it. We also don't have as much time to move out as originally thought. Our apartment is allowing us to give fewer than 30 days notice so we can leave the lease whenever we get our stuff out of the apartment. We originally thought we would have the apartment for an extra week and a half but why pay for an apartment when we are paying for a house? So, we will be painting and moving all of our stuff over a weekend (we are definitely painting the master bedroom before we move any furniture into the room). This will mean Liz and I will have to paint the day that we close, and move everything that we can (into other rooms) while the paint is drying. It will make for a busy weekend.
